Re: st-digest V2000 #634

<html><head></head><body>Hello Donny,<br>
<br>
Most likely you've filled one of the cylinders with oil which is causing
a hydraulic lock. The crankcase breather is on the left side of the engine
and connects to the left side of the airbox. If your ST feel on it's left
side oil ran out the breather and into the airbox and then down into the
#1 cylinder. Try to crank it again. If the same thing happens wait a few
minutes for the pressure to bleed past the rings and try it again. Wait and
repeat until it turns over freely. How do I know this? I low sided on the
left side and the same thing happened to me.<br>

Stupidly, I<br>think I just gave it too much throttle for cold tires and spun<br>the back tire turning out of a parking lot which caused me to<br>spin around backwards and then falling off. The left side body<br>work is messed up, along with the gear shift, and front peg, and<br>I thought that was all. Now, however, the engine won't turn<br>over correctly. You can hear the starter engage and try to turn<br>over, but it just won't continue to crank. Does anyone know why<br>this could be? I am going to take the body work off this<br>afternoon and have a look inside, hopefully finding out more. <br>Any comments would be greatly appreciated.<br><br>Donny<br>'00 blue ST<br><br>__________________________________________________<br>Do You Yahoo!?<br>Yahoo!
