Re: Tools - Good Brand Names



I've used Craftsman hand tools at work and home for many years and been 
very happy with them.  They have several lines of tools and you need to 
be sure you are picking up a Craftsman labeled tool.  The packaging will 
identify the lifetime warranty.  The Sears Best are not warranted for 
life and neither are the other brand name tools (Cresent e.g.).  Also, 
some Craftsman labeled tools are warranted for lesser periods, like the 
torque wrenches and power tools.  This warranty is marked on the packaging.

There are better tools, but for the money IMHO you can't go wrong.
