Headlight heat and power draw

Back to the subject of old blind guys!

I has thought of buying H4 bulbs of a higher wattage than stock and
have seen some with a 100 watt low beam so here go the questions.

Could there be a problem with the heat generated by the higher watt
bulbs such as melting the light housing? I have never heard of this but
I don't want to find out the hard way.

Also was curious about the draw on the charging system though I
don't think it should be an issue with a 40amp system.

I know that many bulbs claim to have the " light output " of 100
watt bulbs but only draw 60 watts but if the charging system can handle
it and the heat isn't too great why not just buy the 100 watt bulbs?

Thanks for the help
