Low Fuel Light

Recently someone asked whether the low fuel indicator light was supposed to
illuminate (as a functional check) when you first turn on the ignition
switch.  Apparently his wasn't doing this.

I'm not sure if the issue was ever clarified, but the last time I took my
scoot out for a ride I noticed that this light did come on when I turned the
key on, and extinguished after startup just as one would expect.
