No, if your fuel gauge is broken (actually the sender unit), then the gauge
will have no correlation to how much gas you actually have. One minute it
could be full, the next the light comes on, then it's half full, then it's
empty, etc.

Mostly I'm just glad I'm not being bothered by that damn yellow light
anymore. That was really distracting.
