I'm still trying to flog my two black ST panniers that I salvaged off the
old machine, but I thought I'd find out what it costs to order a set of two
panniers (minus topbox) without the bracketry. It turns out that there is no
real difference, as the panniers are always supplied with the fixtures.
However, if only the lids are damaged, you can order these separately, at
less than half the full cost of the panniers - so this is worth remembering
if you sustain superficial damage or go down on the panniers, like I did,
and just want to put new lids on still structurally sound boxes.
