Re: Red Line Water Wetter

I think it would be a waste of money, unless your cooling system frequently overheats. Since the cooling system is thermostatically controlled, it should not be affected by the mentioned additive...unless extreme hot conditions exist, or lots of scale has developed in the cooling system. The stuff may be good for hopped up engines, turbo's, etc.. with stock cooling systems where the cooling demands are higher than the cooling system's cooling capacity. It may provide better waterpump lubrication, but who really knows. You will still get that temperature spike when sitting in traffic due to lack of air flow until the temperature actuated cooling fan kicks on. Although, I guess the stuff really couldn't hurt!!

Ok, let´s go back to my original topic:

For the first time in my life I´ve heard about "Red Line Water Wetter". It´s a liquid which has to be added to the water in the cooling system. My dealer told me that this stuff would reduce the temperature in the cooling system by (up to) 10 degrees Celsius. Does this really work? How? Has anyone on this list used this before? How much do you pay for it in the US?

Thank you very much for your comments!

Ride Safe
