When I finished the breakin period I got it up to an indicated 125-130 mph -
this with a tent, sleeping bag, and backpack bungied to the back as well as
my 275lb hunkahunkaburninglove on the bike.  It would have gone faster but I
chickened out when I saw the cop on the other side of the interstate.  No
luggage at this point, just the tank bag and the stuff on the back.  Since
then I've played around above 100 - 110 mph frequently, more than fast
enough for me.
