Crossing Kansas is worth it. We have to cross Texas, which is just as
bad once you get past the hill country! On our trek to Utah we stayed
two nights in Ouray, and I tell you we all could get in some great
riding around there. The Million Dollar highway is spectacular. The way
we went into Utah was also great, but the weather was bad that day so I
had white knuckles from the cold, wet weather and from keeping a good
hold on the bars as it was curve after curve after curve!! We also took
the road down to the bottom of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison (16%
grade and curves all the way!)!
