ST Paint info/Ignition tie down

Well, I did the major Doe maneuver. While walking my bike out of the garage,
I was caught
off guard, lost my balance and I dropped my bike. After heaving it back up
and of course
have some major scratches. Talk about not being happy for a few days. The
scratches
are not bad enough to get a new panel but I need to do some touch up paint
work to
get it back to new. Basically fill the digs, airbrush it out, and a complete
re-clear. Luckily
Eric has some good info on paint matching on the website and put in a call
to Standox.
My bike is black and asked about the Jet Black: Pearl L2344 code give on the
website
to there tech support department. Unfortunately they don't have any such
paint code.
But they gave me the following info to match my paint.

Standox formula for 1/2 liter of Triumph code PG, Jet Black Pearl (Formula
is cumulative)

Black - 571 452.4g
Pearl - 836 455.1g

The paint is 2 stage (meaning that you must clear coat within 24 hours of
the base coat).
They said that any of their distributor/retailer can match the paint with
the formula's above.
The 452.4g and 455.1g are scale increment measurements. They said Triumph
OEM's the
paint so there's no paint code (in other words they mix there own). Funny
how they just
use <3g of Pearl. Not enough to see, but just enough to wonder.

On another note, on the ST website there is a warning about the ignition
wire being tide to
the ignition switch too tightly and a recommendation of just cutting off the
tide down.
I followed this, and have found the you will get wear though on the clutch
cable housing
from the front faring mount. I just found this and have fixed it by re-tying
back to
the ignition switch, but in such a way that still lets the ignition wires be
more free.

Just though you all would like to know.
