Battery Question

With all of this talk about crappy batterys what should a properly 
charged/operating battery read? If  I put my multimeter on my battery 
it's reading 12.65 volts this is after sitting for a couple of days 
in a COLD garage. And yes I do put it on a charger every few dats for 
an hour or so.
