The heated grip cable needs to be routed in the channel along the underside
of the bar. When I fitted my grips I found the easiest way was to tie a
piece of string around the cable & bar just to the right of the switch
cluster, to hold the cable in place while the cluster is reassembled.
Shouldn't need a lot of force - if it does, you may have pinched a wire in
there somewhere.
