In memory of REBEL...

Dennis,
We send our thoughts and understanding to you. It has been a rough weekend
again for us as well...Last year on July 5th, we had to put down our loving
Golden Retriever also. We thought we would never get another dog. Pokey was
11 yrs. Our son was 16years so Pokey had been a part of the family. But
finally, 2 days before New Yrs Eve '99, we felt the need to have another
loving family member join our family, so we contacted the Golden Retriever
Rescue. Mary Meador hooked us up with who we call Deuce.(for the 2nd
Golden). He was 74 lbs. 4 yrs. old and needing a loving home. This would be
his 3home. He had just been let off the day went to look. He had a few
issues that no one had taken time to correct.
We just took him in for booster shots last week and he is 99 lbs. A good
home means a lot. He was meant to help us fill our void and we were meant to
fill his...Life is good.
We feel your pain, Dennis,(no dog will fill Rebel's shoes)
