I have just had to replace my rear brake pads at 6000 miles with the =
friction material completely gone. The dealer {Trakstar in Minneapolis), =
gave me the wrong pads the first trip in. The outside pad had the =
friction material on the wrong side of the steel plate. I have never had =
another bike go through pads so fast and I have had +13 bikes over 32 =
years of riding. The replacements are EBC metal pads at $31. I bought =
fronts as well, and all told it was $108 with MN state tax.
Has anyone else had this problem? I realize that I should have kept =
a better eye on them, but this was rather surprising to me. I think =
driving in traffic may have hastened their wear.
Thanks,
Bob Fastner, Maplewood, Minnesota USA
