Tom,

Since you are in San Francisco, try getting down to Cal 
BMW/Triumph in Mt. View; they let you test ride any of their 
bikes, and the last time I was in there they had both ST and RS 
demo units.  You can call Kari at 650-966-1183 to ask what they 
have on hand right now.
