Tyres

Out of interest, Motor Cycle News has an interesting test this week, when
considering tyre choice seems to be an "In" topic at the minute

It has a review of tyres on sports tourers, using an ST and a VFR 800 as the
test bikes.

Scores for:

Straight Line Stability
Corner Stability
Corner Grip
Overbanding Stability (Whatever that is)
General Rating
NOTHING ON WEAR - SADLY

In order of rate, they where

Avon Azzaro II - £162.05 per pair - 98%
Pirelli Dragon GTS - £193.50 per pair - 95%
Michelin Macadam - £192.25 per pair - 91%
Continental Contiforce - £149.60 per pair - 90%
Dunlop D207	- £208.55 per pair - 89%
Metzeler MEZ4 - £208.50 per pair - 88%
Bridgetstone BT020 - £194.00 per pair - 86%

They also tested the ST with a set of the Konkorde remoulds that everyone
seems to be raving about at the minute and suggest that it was almost
un-rideable, so isn't included in the results!

Seems like the Avons's win and are second cheapest! Time to start searching
for a supplier.

Now if only they had time to do a long term wear assessment on the same
tyres!!

Had enough, gone out on the bike!!!
