For what it's worth.... I took delivery of a 2000 ST in Sept of 99.
Originally the guage was erratic, slowly swinging up and down every 20
minutes or so. Then my dealer put in a new tune.
Since then it has been very regular. But it seems to operate opposite
to what most experience - it drops off quickly, but steadily, hitting the red
in about 150 miles. The light comes on in sync, when the guage hits the red.
But I still have about a half tank left. I regurarly get about 40-45 mpg.
I use the trip odometer for fill-ups.
That's it. I'm hoping for a fix to come along like the rest of you.
