    With a set of fairly common solutions.  Mine is to attach my
ignition key to a bunch of keys when the lock goes on, and detach it
when the lock comes off.  I usually notice if I go to put the key in the 
ignition with the rest of the bunch attached.

    Yeah, that must hurt, but it doesn't necessarily mean that disc
locks are evil.

    I have a heavy chain and lock that I use when I'm feeling really
paranoid, but the disc lock is so much more convenient for everyday
use.

    Well, at least a cable will deter casual thieves.  Pros will get
your bike if they want it; the game most of us play is to make our bikes 
less attractive than the next one.

    This is why I don't switch mine on unless I'm in earshot.  But the
immobiliser always goes on - one more thing to deter the less-determined 
thief.
