corbin and genmar review

Just got a set of the Genmar risers and bought Erik Miner's Corbin seat for
my '99 Sprint ST.

The first think I put on was the seat, it looks VERY good on the bike. The
first thing I notice is that I feel much more "planted" in the seat, not
that the stock one let you slide around or anything but it does feel more
secure. The foam is very firm, which I will appreciate on longer rides, and
seems to support my 6' tall 237lb form quite well. The seat is in the
carbon fiber leather with ghost grey welts, just as Corbin shows on their
website. I have since ordered a matching backrest for my girlfriend. Took
the girlfriend out on it this week and though she liked the stock seat okay
she said she loved the new one much better. (being that it's like pulling
teeth to get her to ride with me this is definitely a good thing.)

Installed the Genmar risers the day after getting the seat, the stock brake
line appeared to be plenty long but I put the replacement line on anyway as
instructed. First impressions are that it looks very clean and OEM'ish.
Upon riding the bike I felt very little if any difference whatsover, except
that when I got to my destination my hands weren't numb or my arms aching.

Yup, I like 'em.

Now to make mounts for my GPS and Valentine One.
