at all to speak of, just useful for a kind of gradual slowing-down in heavy
traffic when filtering (whereas the front brake tends to affect steering

Mine was pretty good when I got the bike, ie I could skid the rear wheel on
dry pavement if I trod upon it firmly, but then I sprayed the disc
inadverdently, whilst cleaning oil residue off the rear wheel with one of
those one-step cleaner detailer sprays (Can-Do) and the rear brake has never
been the same since. I had the pads out, cleaned and wire-brushed them with
brake cleaner (Acetone-like stuff) ground kitty-litter into them with my
heel, to no avail (hard to get them back on without transferring a litle
chain lube via my fingers to the pads). I am now awaiting a new set of
Ferodos, and am planning to isolate the caliper from the chain with dry rags
when I install them. Dave Collins, San Diego
