Re: Throttle respone on downshifting



This sounds very similar, although I must say that I haven't noticed the
symptom you describe because I don't blip the throttle before a hard launch.
I'll try it and report back.

On the other hand, I think you should be able to duplicate my symptoms if it
is being caused by the same thing.  On downshifts I really try hard to pull
the clutch, blip the trottle, and hit the shifter all at virtually the same
time rather than one after the other, and I think the problem occurs more
often after longer periods of trailing throttle (ie. fully closed) during
deceleration.  That may account for why others have not noticed it.

At this juncture, I'm convinced that the problem is real since it has been
acknowledged by my mechanic and a number of other listers.  My overriding
concern is whether it is fixable, and if so, how.  I fully appreciate that
owners that have not experienced the problem have very little incentive to
go go looking for it (ya know ... if it ain't broke ....), but that doesn't
necessarily suggest to me that it isn't there.
