Got a new bike today

That's right, I got a new bike today. The old ST is no more.

What I got resembles my old ST in form only. Once you roll on the throttle 
any similarities between the old and new are gone.

The FI system is now incredibly smooth - I had some issues with the lower 
speeds that I assumed would be corrected by CO calibration. The results are 
even better than I had hoped for. I only wish now that I had it done 
earlier.....

I had the 12k service performed which includes the valve service. Four of 
the 12 valves were slightly tight - 1 exhaust and 3 inlet. In addition the 
throttle bodies were aligned (they were way out according to the mechanic). 
Compression test showed between 220 and 230psi - according to the mechanic, 
he normally see STs in the 190 range - can't beat that.

After spending a little time in the saddle on Saturday, all I can say is 
Wahoo!!!!

I also had the Pirelli Dragon GTSs installed front and rear. They'll get 
put to the test in 12 days...... I know that several people mail order 
their tires versus buying them through the dealer. What I did was call mail 
order and find a good price on the set. I then found out what the shipping 
charge was and added that to the total. I then called the dealer and gave 
them the price to see if they could match it - they called back in 30 
minutes and agreed to the price. May not work in every instance, but I got 
the price I wanted and never had to touch the tires.
