The stepper motor is part of the Idle Air Control System. According to the
manual the IACS has "controlling influence" over the following
- - Idling
- - Air supply during overrun
- - Air / Fuel ratio for altitudes above sea level
- - Cold and Hot start air / fuel ratio
The system is located in the airbox.
