Sounds like your dealer may have routed the clutch cable wrongly or messed
up the threads, if he took it off to fix the wiring.  On my 99 ST, when the
bars are fully to the left, the clutch cable is fairly taut where it runs
through the wire loop support on the right-hand side just above the
radiator.  But I wouldn't have expected the clutch cable to be strong enough
to rip out the threads, so it's more likely to be bad assembly work.  Could
it be that the cable has streched enough for the adjuster to be screwed
right out of the grip end, so it's just wobbling around?
