Re: leathers

Just got it a couple of weeks ago. I love the look, and it zips together
nicely with the perf pants as well (although I just sewed the "shortie"
zipper out of the way, it kept making it difficult to do the wrap around zip).

There is only a band of perf going up the front of the arm, the rest of
the arm is solid for protection. The body of the jacket is perfed
everywhere but where the checkerboard is. I have found that if I wear a
golfing windbreaker underneath it, I can tolerate colder mornings, then
remove the windbreaker and enjoy the afternoons. A couple of guys I rode
with today have the non-perfs, and were out of them quickly at every
stop. While it is definitely good to get out of the jacket while not
moving, the perfs do a reasonable job on the go. I'm afraid all the
responses to your question will be pretty subjective. Would I do it
again if I had the chance?, YES. Hope that helps.
