 As an alternative to carving up your fairing (which will do nothing
for your resale value) you might consider trading for an RS Sprint to
escape the heat. Equipped with the 28 ltr. GIVI bags, ST bars and a
Zero Gravity sport-touring windscreen, as mine is, you effectively
have a heat-free and better handling ST.

 As a side benefit (for me,... others may consider it a detriment),
the passenger accomodatiions are a little more cramped so my wife
stays home.
