Broken ST - update

Hello all,

Well, The Lardmeister roars again :-) Having diagnosed and formed a
plan it took me about 15 minutes to fix the beast, and another hour and
three quarters to put the bodywork back on....

One thing which I hadn't noticed before is that the horn no longer
works. I'm not sure if this was part of the original problem or if it's
due to my fix - I'll have to have another look at the circuit diagram.

So now I just need a new clutch rod seal and new tyres and I'll be
ready to travel :-)

Regarding the clutch cover, it looks like I'll have to remove the
side fairing and belly pan - can I remove these as one piece, or do I
have to do them separately? It looks like I should be able to leave the
upper and lower panels attached to each other, but does this make it
impossible to pull them off the bike?

I haven't received any responses to my question about using Dzus
fasteners, so I'll keep that at the back of my mind for now.

Thanks again for all the help I've received from the list,

                Jim
