Brake rotors

It looks like I'll need to replace the front rotors on my Sprint ST at
the
next pad change. I'd *really* like to avoid having to do this every
year or
so (the bike will be 1 year old next month - woo-hoo) so I'd like to
get
something that will last a bit. Since replacement stock rotors will
run
about 275.00 each, now seems like a good time to replace them with
something
better.

Any ideas? Anyone else have a rotor go bad on them?
