Re: First gear



Patti,

I now have 1100 miles on my RS.  The clunking got worse after the 
500 mile service/oil change.  That was 300 miles back, and it is 
improving.  I also found, as Jim Huber posted, that shifting at higher 
RPMs makes a marked improvement; if I shift from 1st at around 
5500 or above, it just slips right into 2nd, whereas at lower RPMs, I 
get a noticable clunk.  Give that a try, if you aren't already.  
Otherwise, I think it's going to be a fact of life until we get more 
miles on the bikes.
