I develped the exact same pattern, which I described as
'feathering' on my rear tire (Dunlop 205). I consulted my local
dealer who has extensive experience as a racing (winning!) crew chief
and tech, who looked at it and pronounced it 'normal'. Mumbled
something about that's what happens when the tire grips instead of
slides. Told me the 'feathering' was something I could easily control
with the throttle.
