Guys, sorry I didn't respond to this one earlier - happened to kick over
the can of electrical tape last night and remembered that I hadn't sent off
the info. I too noticed this wear and like Rick was unable to get anything
to stick. That is until my head started working and I remembered about
liquid electrical tape. It is not permanent, so it must be applied every
couple of months, but it has stopped any additional wear in that area and
because it is black and goes on as a liquied, it is nearly invisible. I
apply a coating to both the bag and the rail - then let them dry overnight.
It sticks really well to the material the rail is made out of - the rubbing
will wear away the coating after a while and then you just re-apply.

The Liquid electrical tape should be available at most larger hardware
stores or marine supply stores.
