Greg,
I've noticed the same on the ST. The vibration is evident in the
right-side grip and foot peg. Fiona also complains of excessive
vibration through the right pillion peg.
I've mentioned this to a few other listers and no one else had noticed
it. Strangely the left side pegs and grip are unaffected. Wierd!
I've found that the larger diameter of the heated grips lessens the
effect and the peg vibration has not been a problem for me. I haven't
experienced discomfort to the extent that you seem to be suffering,
even with the standard grips fitted.
As for the rear, I expect I'll have to either fit rubberised pillion
pegs or just keep the seat cowl fitted.
