Re: Stabil and winter storage

Always store the bike with the tank FULL any condensation won't rust
the tank but it will contaminate the fuel and I don't know of any
motor vehicle that runs well with water in the fuel. Always treat the
fuel with Stabil, keeps it fresh. Also put the bike on the charger
for a couple of hours once a week, wash and wax the bike, and keep it
under a big old flannel sheet to keep the dust off. Take the weight
off the front tire.. ( I use a couple of small pieces of 2x4 under
the front forks to just lift it a bit) sort of balance the bike on
the center stand. Of course change the oil. And I almost always
manage to ride the bike at least once a month all winter , NJ winters
aren't too bad. Oh and I go out in the garage and fuss around with
her all winter so she doesn't forget how much I love her ;-)
