It's the new guy.
Glad to have you aboard. Hope you make the right choice.

trying to decide between the Triumph Sprint ST and the Ducati ST2/4
I've ridden both and was glad to get the ST4 back to the dealer. My ST
felt soooo good when I got back on her. Comfy.

I want to tour with the wife but still get some hard riding in here and
there.
Sounds like the ST to me.

I know a thing or two about having fun in the curves.
Then the ST is your bike.

I will be test riding the latter lhis weekend, and maybe a friend will
let me try out his Sprint.
Go to a Triumph dealer and ask for a test ride. You won't regret it and
your mind will be made up.

the Sprint really has grown on me,
I've had mine almost two years and it's still growing on me and amazing
me.

thought that I'd always wanted a Duc.
Ride both first and you'll see a clear difference.

Does Triumph have a racing heritage
A long racing heritage. Not recently bit their prioritizing road bikes
aimed at the consumer.

Limited suspension adjustments
I've found mine more than adequate but the RaceTech mod at a hundred
bucks does wonders.

Really was looking for a v-twin.
Go one better and get a triple.

Of course the numbers say the Sprint has the better motor,
Wait until you feel that torque. Running side by side with a vfr in NC
in forth gear as he was using three to four gears up and down ion the
Parkway. Great motor.

it costs less too,
And insurance is lower. Call and price both.

and it probably sport tours better.
More comfortable and better passenger seating. Longer fuel range.

What can I do to make the suspension more sporting?
	Race tech fork mod.

What about the shock?
I think that you'll be fine with the shock.

read the rates are a bit soft, making me think that heavy me + wife +
bags may required a different spring.
I weight in around 260 and with full bags I've still found the bike
great with just pre load adjustments.

What has the history been for reliability?
	I think it's very good.

maintenance intervals (valve adjustment in particular).
After initial maintenance the valves are at 12K.

ny information and feedback is welcome.
Go to the archives and surf a while.

Troy Blood,
All of the riders who made the last Rallye knew Troy and we were
shocked and saddened but his accident. Our prayers are with his family.
We'll miss Troy a lot.
