Also don't forget this side of the3 pond. Jack Wilson set over 100 top speed
records at Bonneville in 5 decades of racing. Over 40 of those records have
never been broken even with modern bikes.

How about winning Daytona 3 times?

How about the California desert races?

How about the TT races in the 60's?

How about the dirt track legends like Dick Mann? Triumph had 15 half mile
and mile wins.

Triumph won many Hill Climb events too.

750 Bonnevilles and 500 Daytonas are still winning races at AHRMA events
every year. I've won 3 regional championships with CMRA and WERA myself on
my '72 500.

Today's Triumph comes from a rich racing heritage.

There is a great book out if you look for it. It's "Triumph Racing
Motorcycles In America" by Lindsay Brooke with a great forward by Gene
Romero.
