Hi Gang,
Just finished ordering all the parts for the crashed scoot ----
Since I've been struggling with the 'ol mushy master cylinder problem
inherent on the STs, I took the leap and ordered the "Triumph 6" --- 6
piston calipers and master cylinder kit ( I had originally thought about
just getting a Brembo master cylinder as some others had done).
For those who are really looking for awesome stopping power --- this setup
can't be beat --- and its a direct swap to the ST. I talked to one of the
mechanics at Motorcycles Intl www.motorcyclesintl.com He indicated that all
three of the mechanics ride Triumph's --- they all have the 6 piston set
up --- they indicated that its just fabulous. Apparently these calipers are
made by Alcon --- they produce calipers for race cars.
Anyway, Craig in the parts department --- 1-800-215-3616, gave me the
whole master cylinder/caliper setup for $725.00 --- they retail for over
$800. What a great guy! As I stated before, I won't get my parts from
anywhere else. These guys always give at least 10% off of retail.
I'll be practicing stoppies in my garage all winter --- NOT!!!
