Re: for Mike - soft bags

Hey, Don, I have a question for you:

You had the Chase-Harper Stealth bags, I believe, but changed
them out for another brand. What was the reason for changing?
Did you not like them for some reason or did they not function
adequately on the RS? What brand/size of bags are you using now?
Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -Keith '00 RS

Dear Keith

I was very happy with the Stealth bags and they were the bags for
which I bought the Triumph plastic protector panels. When I found out
that Thunderbike in NZ made an adaptor for mounting GIVI hard bags on
the RS, I went that route and now have the 28 litre hard bags.

Because I take a lot of multi-day trips (one more great benefit of
retirement), the Stealth bags just wouldn't hold enough of my stuff
(hot water bottles, Preparation H, Geritol, suppositories, glasses,
toupee, etc) to last me all week and I sold the bags to my son, who
still has to work. He's also been happy with them.

            Have fun; doggydo - - - o%\o
