No, it does NOT correspond to regular.  It is approximately mid-grade. 
If the pump I pull up to has one hose per grade, I'll use mid-grade
(plus or whatever the station may call it).  If there is only one hose
shared by all grades I'll use premium because I don't know what grade
may be still in the hose.

With regular, the ST (and RS, I'm sure) will "ping" under load.  Don't
ask me how I know.
