Re: oil and gas

Eric:

I use Motul 5100 10W40 as per my dealer's recommendation. It's ester-based,
but the fine print says 'blend', which I take to mean that it's
semi-synthetic.

If I'm not mistaken, you are referring to Motul 300V, which is a full
synthetic, ester-based lubricant, but it's twice the price. I don't know
how you can afford to replace this stuff every 2000-2500 miles, but that's
your business.

But actually I thought I saw a post just recently which said that 15-50 (of
any brand) was a no-no (was it here or on the T5 list? -- I think you
subscribe to both lists too -- no?). I think it gave a reason but I can't
recall what it was. Do you? Your opinion differs I assume?

Neil
