Daytona shock for Sprint ST

Does anyone know if a Daytona rear shock will work on a '99 Sprint ST?
I am thinking about having my rear shock re-wored by a local shop and
have a friend who has a used Daytona unit I could borrow until mine
comes back - anyone here tried this or have any idea about how long
the stock ST unit is?
