RE: Sigma BC800

[magnet]
Maybe I have another suggestion: I recently fitted my Suzuki VS800
Intruder with a BC800 and discovered that the puny magnet that comes
with it is no help at all. I resorted to one of those magnets that
keep cupboard or wardrobe doors shut (sorry for the pittoresque
description but I don't know wether there are better words). In
Germany you can get them in the Do-It-Yourself department of any large
department store, they're about EUR3.50 here and come in pairs. You
can remove the plastic coating quite easily and find inside a quite
powerful magnet that's ideal for use on a motorbike. I fitted the
sensor to the fork and the magnet to the brake disc and it works very
well. I'd recommend starpping the magnet to the disc with cable
straps(??), or, if location doesn't permit this solution, simply glue
it to the disc with two component glue. By the way: with those magnets
you don't have to heed the 5mm gap between sensor and magnet, it may
be *much* larger.

HTH, HAND,

Henning
