At first, when the limits were low, I kept blipping past them. Only briefly,
not by much, and always coming back down to the limit or lower for steady
running. I'm told that's OK. Later on the 'rpm of the day' won't be a worry.
Once you get up to 8000 it becomes academic ... I actually tried to keep
mine buzzing around there but found I was doing illegal speeds ALL THE TIME!
Also this engine is at it's best around 6000 (wait for it), so there's no
need to buzz it. It's just the first 600 miles or so that require
self-control, and I did those in just about 5 days, mostly around country
lanes ... learning about the handling, the awesome brakes etc. Enjoy!

Hehe. Me too.

The colour does grow on you. I love it now, and I've even bought a
yellow/black Triumph jacket to go with it.
