Hi Matt, Mike from Burney here. I just rode Hwy 3 yesterday, Saturday. It is
a great road. I think your picture is the piece between Hayfork and Hwy 299?
The turns are endless and I find myself tiring before I reach the end. It is
a place where a newbie can work on technique without a lot of cars around.
Several of us from the Redding, Red Bluff side ride a loop that includes Hwy
36, Hwy 3 and Hwy 299 back to Redding. Yesterday our ride started in Redding
west on 299 to 3, through Hayfork to 36, then to Fortuna and Eureka, then
east on 299 all the way back to Redding. 380 miles of twisties, could be the
best twisty roads in America. Ate lunch with my daughter in Eureka, she was
telling me all about seeing a bike just like mine. I told her it was a
fellow named Matt. She works at Pacific Sunwear.If you stop in, ask for
Nickole.
