[ST] full-page ad

Have you seen Triumph's full-page ad in the U.S. moto mags
(Motorcyclist, Cycle World, etc.)? If you haven't,... try not to
look! Lame doesn't begin to apply,... crippled, even, doesn't do it
justice. The ad pictures an RS Sprint being ridden through a country
curve by a rider in full sport-riding leathers (complete with knee
puck) and wearing a full-face helmet. so far so good; but the bold
print caption reads 'Humiliate men in leather suits!'.

What's with that?? If this is mythical British humor, it's totally
lost on this side of the Atlantic river. Now if that caption were
combined with a picture of a Bonneville ridden by a guy in jeans,
brown leather flight jacket and a leather helmet with goggles,... or
if it were a Speed-Triple ridden by a surfer type in shorts, sandals
and t-shirt, the American reader would get a chuckle out of the ad
and it would make some since, but.....

If anyone knows a good American advertising agency, please put them
in touch with Triumph of America immediately, before any more damage
is done. Time is of the essence!
