Is the genuine filter all that expensive ? I think I paid Aus$20 for the
last one, the oil was $50.

I think someone on the list found a Fram one that "fits" & is a bit
cheaper.
Except that the thread was different, it doesnt seal & p#isses oil all over
the place.
