Andrew,
The L-Brackets come out underneath the tailpiece & are no wider. I cant see
them getting in the way of the soft panniers, unless they interfere with
the plastic body protectors ( which I dont have).

Lets see :
1 beer cooler
1 pair underpants per 4 days ( frontwards, backwards, inside out
frontwards, inside out backwards).
= Plenty of room for a 10 day trip :)

(If you have to travel light, leave the underwear behind)
