[ST] RE: Vista Cruise

First, the bad news. The standard Vista Cruise,

Triumph Heated grips. I tried, every which way I could. No go. Neither did
this alternative, which I actually think would/should work well with the

Yes, it's uglier. But not too bad actually, now that I've had it on for a
few months. And I still like the way it works better than the
Throttlemeister, but that's just personal preference.

You'll have to cut down the flared end of the grip slightly to get it to
work. The flare only needs to be cut down by about half. You won't miss it
and it's all just soft rubber. If you use a fresh razor blade it only takes
a few minutes. The VC will mount on the grip where the flare was. The bar
that goes across the Grip Housing is not obtrusive, but it does make
pressing your start button a little more of a conscious effort. Since you
use that button the least, it isn't a problem.

After several months in place, it's still working flawlessly and hasn't
needed adjusting. While I'd have preferred the cleaner look of the standard
VC, with the heated grips it wasn't an option, and after trying the
Throttlemeister I decided I could put up with the extra little bit of
clutter.
