It's also a very expensive bike, and not everyone has $10k+ to buy what
for many is a secondary vehicle.

Yes, I do drive a new Sprint ST with lots of goodies.  But doing so
means I'll have to keep my '91 Plymouth a bit longer than I'd like.
Considering how short the riding season is in many parts of the country,
is it any surprise that most people would rather have a nice car than a
nice bike?
