The Triumph FI systems that have an O2 sensor in the exhaust (German and
closed loop) should only need one tune. The engine control computer will
adjust the timing and amount of fuel  to optimize the motor's performance
based on data received form all the sensors. It is a dynamic system, rather
than a static system.
That is why the open loop fuel injection system needs different tunes.
It is "dumb" and lacking the input from post-combustion sensors, relies on
dynamic data from all the other sensors , (but pre-programmed static data
for what the O2 would be telling it) to adjust the timing and fuel.
However, it still beats the shit out of carburetion, IMHO.

He didn't mention anything about California spec (assumed to be open-loop
cc) bikes in his post, but did document the tunes for the closed-loop
catalytic converter setup used in Germany.  And he only quoted one tune for
the German spec bikes. Go figure!
