Panniers & Ventura Rack.

Hi
I have been happily using a Ventura rack & bag for 2 years on 99 ST. I am
now considering hard luggage. My dealer says it is not possible to keep the
rack because the mounting points for the panniers are the same. Does anyone
on the list have factory bags & ventura rack, & was the install easy.
I am also having hassles with my throttle sticking. Any ideas?
